I'm an artist, writer, and instructor living in Los Angeles with my husband Bradley and four-legged kid Violet.
My geographical affiliations include Wisconsin (born), Tennessee (raised), Iowa (MFA from University of Iowa Writers' Workshop in 1998, Graduate Certificate from the UI Center for the Book in 1999), Baltimore (became a grown-up), Texas (MFA in Studio Art in 2008 from the University of Texas at Austin), and California (the sunny present).
I currently teach at Otis College of Art and Design. In the past, I have taught for the Maryland Institute, College of Art (MICA), Johns Hopkins University, Towson University, JHU Center for Talented Youth (CTY), and the Universities of Iowa and Texas (as a graduate student).
